Tele Substitution
The word tele is derived from the Greek word which means distant. In tele substitution reaction, the entering group takes up a position more than one atom away from the atom to which the leaving group was attached. This is different from cine-substitution, where the entering group is positioned adjacent to the one that was occupied by the leaving group.

Mechanism of Tele Substitution Reaction
The mechanism of tele-substitution reactions can vary depend on the specific reaction and the nature of the molecule involved. Generally, these reactions may involve activation or deactivation of the attacking site, formation of intermediates and multiple steps for final product.
