Skattebøl Rearrangement

Skattebøl rearrangement convert a geminal dihalo cyclopropane to an allene using an organolithium base. The Skattebøl rearrangement is closely related to the Doering-LaFlamme reaction, which similarly involves the transformation of gem-dihalocyclopropanes into allenes, but under different conditions and reagents.
